Complementary Coverage

Your NIPT Test is Guaranteed

NIPT is a non-invasive prenatal screening test applied during pregnancy. Omega Genetik offers False Negative Result Guarantee as an additional layer of assurance for your testing process. This is a complementary coverage provided within the framework of scientific and ethical values.

What is the Guarantee?

The False Negative Result Guarantee is a limited coverage that applies when the test result is falsely reported as negative in Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), Trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome), or Trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome) screening, covering only direct material damages.

This coverage does not imply any admission of fault or negligence. NIPT tests are performed with the latest technology, and as with any screening test, a limited possibility of false negatives exists scientifically.

Omega Genetik voluntarily offers this complementary coverage to increase patient trust and in accordance with the principle of scientific transparency.

When Does It Apply?

1

When the test result is falsely reported as negative (low risk) despite Trisomy 21, 18, or 13 actually being present

2

Provided the test was performed at Omega Genetik laboratories, in accordance with scientific standards and with proper sampling

3

If the false negative case has been confirmed by independent medical methods (such as CVS, amniocentesis, or postnatal karyotype analysis)

Limitations of NIPT

NIPT (Non-invasive Prenatal Screening) is an advanced screening test that analyzes cell-free fetal DNA fragments from maternal blood. Despite its high sensitivity, it is not a diagnostic test.

For definitive diagnosis, invasive diagnostic methods such as CVS (chorionic villus sampling) or amniocentesis may be necessary. Clinical decisions regarding these methods are the responsibility of the attending physician.

NIPT results are a pregnancy management tool; they should not be considered as the sole basis for clinical decisions.
